36 Stall are quite well known UTARIANS and local Kamparians,the hawker center is located in old town Kampar.

You can say that it is a must try place in Kampar. During weekend, you can see lots of kamparians crowding there enjoying their lunch. The Prawn mee, Laksa and beef noodles are best in town. There are others stalls too! Check it out one day!

Yummy Beef Noodle. There a stall selling beef intestine noodles. Since I dislike eating those organs, I specially ordered a Beef Noodle. Nice! The tenderness of the beef are just irresistible!

(Mind you, the tauke of beef noodle very weird, only serve those sit in front of their stall.)

The Prawn Mee is kinda different from what we had in Penang or Kedah. It wasn't as spicy as what we used to have. So you could ask for more chilies. The uncle and aunty of prawn mee is very friendly and funny! He often said the price is Rm30 for each bowl of prawn mee which is actually rm3.00.

Local Laksa is also one of the must try list at here! Is call as Laksa Fu pi. It is much sweet and less spicy compare to those ASSAM Laksa in Penang. But the taste are just as good!

For someone like me who don't have fond of assam laksa could dream of this laksa at night....

A new pub opened opposite Grand Kampar Hotel (GK hotel). A few shop just next to Station R. The place is kinda small. But the price seem reasonable. They have lots of food and drinks available... but since it's new, they don't have a menu for us...Kinda lame lar!

A good place for Relax for UTARIANS n KTARIANS in Kampar.

Believe me not? This is just Rm3?

我问天 东坡肉

After I had notice the post from J-on, a Utar news portal, had recommended a famous pork stew recipe rice. Since then i had quench for a taste of it until my classmate, Mr. Tham, had decided to bring us there. 我问天 东坡肉 is located at a hawker center in Old town, Kampar. Somewhere near bus station. The price is quite reasonable so don't worry about it.

The pork is served in a kind portion. It has different variety of pork available. However the most well known is the 东坡肉. Here are the pictures of the servings.

Kinda oily but yet tasty 东坡肉

This is 梅花肉. It is not as oily as the above as it is from the thinner portion of pork meat.

Say, Do u wan pork? haha!

Its even interviewed by Chinese newspaper. This explain why most of the customer there are having her pork meat rice.

Most of the time when you are trying to ask a UTARIAN what Kampar famous for? What food in Kampar is nice? They will always answer:" CLAYPOT CHICKEN RICE LAH"!

However, I found that Kampar actually has it's own unique taste of local specialty other than the famous Claypot Chicken Rice. Its hard to find any food blog recommending food in Kampar since this Old Mining town had been long forgotten.

Thus, i decided to make my own Kampar food blog. Hope you enjoy the food as i did! :)!
